Lecturer with the School of Law at the University of Sofia: assistant (1983), associate professor (1998), doctor (1992), deputy dean of the School of Law (1999-2003), professor (2003), director of the Institute of German and European Law at the School of Law (2000), deputy chairman of the Legal Council with the President of the Republic (2002).
