Education: School of Law with the Sveti Kliment Ohridski University of Sofia (1973). Postgraduate: civil law (1990).

Specialized in banking law in the Joint Vienna Institute, Austria (1994). „Konrad Adenauer" Foundation Scholarship - Karlsruhe, Germany (1998).

Junior judge (1975-1977), Borough Court judge (1977-1989) and member of the District Court in Plovdiv (1989-1992); member of the Supreme Court of Cassation (1992-1997).

Part-time tutor in civil and obligation law at the School of Law with the Sveti Kliment Ohridski University of Sofia (1992- 1994) and with the New Bulgarian University (1994-1997). Doctoral dissertation on „Non-profit legal entities". Publications in the field of non-profit law.

Appointed Constitutional Court justice by the President of the Republic (1997).
