Education: Faculty of Law, at St. Kliment Ohridski University of Sofia (1985).

Internship as a judge at the Sofia City Court (1985- 1986). Lecturer at St. Kliment Ohridski University of Sofia: Assistant Professor (1986-2004), Associate Professor of constitutional law of the Republic of Bulgaria (2004); Associate Professor of constitutional law of the Republic of Bulgaria at St. Cyril and St. Methodius University of Veliko Tarnovo and at the Academy of the Ministry of Interior. Secretary for legal matters at the Administration of the President of the Republic (2002-2006). Chairman of the Legal Advisory Board to the President of the Republic (2006).

Member of the Central Electoral Committees on elections for the National Assembly, for the President of the Republic and for local government bodies (1995-2006).

PhD dissertation: Electoral System and Political Representation. Over forty publications in Bulgarian and European journals; one of these a monograph, entitled The President in the Bulgarian Constitutional Model. Appointed Constitutional Court Justice by the President of the Republic (2006).
