Official visit to Bulgaria of a delegation from the Constitutional Court of Hungary

An official delegation from the Constitutional Court of Hungary, led by the President Mr. Tamás Sulyok, paid a formal visit to Bulgaria from November 29 to December 01, 2023, at the invitation of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Bulgaria. The delegation consisted of two other judges and the Chief of the Cabinet of the Hungarian Constitutional Court.

This bilateral meeting is the second one between the two Courts and is aimed at exchanging views and experiences in the field of constitutional justice.

In the framework of the visit, a working meeting between the justices of the two Courts was held on the following topic: ‘The role of the constitutional jurisdictions of the EU Member States and the Court of Justice of the European Union in matters of competence’. Other issues of mutual interest were also discussed.
